Biography
FabrÃcio R. Santos is full professor at UFMG, geneticist with a PhD in 1995 at UFMG, and post-doctorate at Oxford University, UK, and National Geographic Society/Pennsylvania University, USA. He he is professor in the area of Genetics and Evolution of UFMG, Director of the Taxonomic Collections Center of UFMG, President of the Brazilian Society of Genetics, member of the Iberoamerican Academy of Evolutionary Biology, and fellow researcher of the National Research Council of Brazil. He works mainly in natural history and biological evolution using DNA and analyses of population genetics, phylogeography and phylogeny applied to biodiversity and the human species.
